Palisades Association for the Education of Young Children

The Palisades Association for the Education of Young Children (PAEYC) is Rockland’s County local chapter of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), which is the nation's premier organization for early childhood professionals—setting research-based standards and providing resources to improve early childhood program quality, enhance the professional development and working conditions of program staff, and to help families learn about and understand the need for high quality early childhood education.

Through position statements, work with other organizations, and its national voluntary accreditation system, NAEYC has been the leader in promoting excellence in early childhood education for all young children from birth through age 8.

Palisades AEYC is committed to helping you in your daily work on behalf of all young children and their families. Membership benefits are designed to help you increase your professional knowledge and to work more effectively with young children and families.

All Palisades AEYC members can choose between receiving six issues of the peer-reviewed Young Children journal or five issues of Teaching Young Children/Preschool (available in English or Spanish) and the book Spotlight on Teaching Preschoolers as part of their membership.

Members also receive a 20% discount on all products carried in the NAEYC catalog, discounted subscription rates on magazines such as Highlights High Five, Education Week, and Exchange Magazine. Members also receive reduced fees at National and NYSAEYC conferences, reduced fees at PAEYC sponsored events, and an influential voice on public policies affecting early childhood education, and much more.
